TRIUMPHALIST--YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?

TRIUMPHALIST--YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT? I believe that the Catholic Church was founded by Christ, on his Apostles, especially Peter, the first Pope. I believe in the teachings of the Ecumenical councils, I revere the Fathers of the Church, and I am an unapologetic Ultramontane Catholic. If you don't like it, too bad.

An Army Song

Busy today, so If I do any real blogging it will be later, but i will leave you with one of my favorite Army running songs--it's not really a cadence:

Born in the Backwoods,
Raised by a Bear,
Got a Double Hinged Jaw,
an' three coats o' Hair,
Cast Iron Balls,
Ordinance Steel Rod!
Look at that Man--
He's Artillery by God!

Born in the Toilet,
Raised by a Crab,
Never made a Run,
Always took a Cab,
Got a Limp Old Wrist,
An' a Funny Little Lisp!
Look at that Boy--
He's a Weenie by God!

Yeah, we were exclusionary, elitist and very very proud--but then, we earned it, and proved it.

ALL THE WAY!!!!

Dinner Tonight!

In honor of the Archangels, my daughter has made BISON meatloaf, mashed potatoes, slow cooked green beans and garlic gravy.

I have an excellent Daughter!  In fact, I got three of 'em!

Vote on the New Poll!

So I can make more people happy with things, I guess.

By the way, the new monthly feature is actually a sign of improvement.  There used to be a web site called "Episcopal Spine Alert", that sometimes went months between updates, and now we see many courageous bishops.  The task has changed, from encouraging the few with spines, to calling out the remaining cowards.

Also, BTW--33% of those who responded think the best way to hunt squirrels is with a forest fire, 18% prefer a .22, 14% think an automatic weapon  is best, 3% would use a shotgun or a snare.  However, 25% would rather just eat chicken.

This is Bad, So is That.

Jeannine Gramick is an allegedly Catholic Sister, who was prohibited by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith from working with New Ways Ministry--a "ministry" to homosexuals that teaches them it's OK to engage in Gay sex and holds out for 'Gay Unions' to be blessed by the Church--was also barred from ministering to sodomites.  She is going to be lecturing at Fairfield University in Fairfield Connecticut.  Gramick is also slated to speak at the Dignity USA convention. Dignity is a "Gay Ministry" that doesn't tell homosexuals that they need to be chaste, thereby promoting sodomy, and placing those it "serves" at risk for Eternal Damnation.   She doesn't seem to be obeying the CDF very well, using "lectures" and "speaking engagements" as a means of undermining the Churches teaching among young adult Catholics.

Gramick has publicly stated that Our Lord and St. John the Evangelist not only experienced same sex attraction, but were, not to put a fine point on it, but buddies.  She is a blasphemer.  O quote from Gramick will serve to illustrate the way in which her thought has departed from the faith:

Lesbian/Gay Theology is an example of authentic subversion.

So, is there inauthentic subversion?  Would that be something that sounds subversive but actually strengthens the Moral Teachings of the Faith, or uphold the things we received from the Apostles?  At least she is straight up that she wishes to subvert the faith.

By the way, Fairfield University is supposedly a "Catholic" institution, but on their home page, I found nor reference to Catholicism, only an acknowledgement that it is a Jesuit institution.  Likewise, their History page doesn't mention the Church.  Buried deep is a statement about its "Jesuit"  and "Catholic" identity, but very little on that page about Catholic Identity but the word "Catholic" itself--much more about Jesuit goals, globalism, etc.  On the Student life page there is a reference--low on the page, to liturgies suiting the tastes and needs of college students.

So much for the East Coast, How's the West?

Well, Most Reverend Blase J Cupich, in a stunning display of selling out to the dominant paradigm has clarified a position with remarkable unclarity.  In July, Cupich equated prayer vigils with "picketing", and said he disapproved of them in front of abortion facilities.  He expressed "non-endorsement" of the 40 Days for Life program and activities, but kept his remarks so vague that no one is really sure what his position is.  He did this in a meeting with the 40 Days for Life people.  Further, it's been reported by his seminarians that he told them not to continue their Friday rosaries in front of an Abortion Clinic.  The Seminarians have requested anonymity to avoid retaliation.

Cupich apparently believes that the feelings and sensibilities of abortionists--serial killers under the cloak of medicine who make their living by murdering people before they're born--are more important that the possibility that even one human life my be saved by the power of pro-life witness.  I denounce him as a coward at best, and a covert cooperator with evil at worst.

On the 16th of September, the Diocese of Spokane issued a statement 'affirming' the role of priests as pro-ife educators, but saying that they shouldn't be confrontational--in other words, all talk, no walk.  i wonder what Blessed Clemens Von Galen thinks of this, since he and his fellow Catholic Prelates defied the Third Reich over the murderous T program in German, and brought it to a halt, and who later were outspoken enough to spent their time under house arrest, or to be sent to death camps for their opposition to institutionalized  murder.

Cupich has also directed that only materials concerning Abortion that are produced by the diocese of Spokane, the Washington State Conference of Catholic Bishops, or the USCCB can be distributed in Parishes.  I have to wonder--does this include Humanae Vitae? After all, it's not produced by the listed agencies.  Further, Cupich has ordered that the seminarians at Bishop White Seminary not accompany the Catholic Students from Gonzaga University in their rosary prayers on Fridays at the local murder mill.  This has been confirmed by the Youth Groups at Gonzaga University.

The chancery is giving, now, the appearance of supporting 40 Days for Life, but has privately reinforced a "request" that priests not participate in prayer vigils for life.  This has lead, along with other directives, to confusion--priests are no longer sure whether they will be disobeying their bishop if they do so.

It's telling that Pascendi Dominic Gregis cites just this sort of accommodation to the secular world, and the lack of clarity, that seems to remove the possibility of censure, as hallmarks of the Modernist Heresy.  Cupich, and this is right at you, and right in your face, if the shoe fits, wear it.

In his official statement, Cupich cites the "current political climate" then goes on to say that a pastoral approach is needed.  What this means to a Redneck whose testicles have not been excised is this:  Cupich is citing the fact that we are in the midst of a bitter conflict for a Christian culture, and that since we won't change everyone's minds, we should just withdraw into our Church buildings and talk to each other.  Never mind that over 50,000 kids are going to die because of his institutional pusillanimity.  The man, rather than fearlessly confront the culture in the manner of the Apostles, of whom he is a successor, will cower behind words instead of preaching the Gospel fearlessly.  I am ashamed that he is of the same Gender, nationality and Faith as myself.  I hope someday to meet him, so I can refuse to shake his hand.

Fighting Back

If you read the stuff I put up on here, over time you will have figured out that I am convinced we are entering a period of religious persecution directed at Christians, and especially Catholics in the US, led by the legislatures of certain states, and the Federal Governments executive branch.

It's been troubling to me, but I am seeing some signs of people beginning to speak out against it.

The first thing I want to relate concerns Vanderbilt University, and it's actions against Religious organizations on campus.  Vanderbilt, you may remember, has placed four groups on probation while it examines their charters, because they require their leaders to subscribe to the beliefs they endorse.  Vanderbilt says this is discrimination. The whole thing was precipitated by--of course--a sodomite who was expelled from a Christian Fraternity for not living the life style it was founded to promote. (It seems to me that freedom of association nowadays means anybody can associate with you, whether or not you wish to associate with them!)  However, Carol Swain is the Faculty Adviser for the Christian Legal Society, one of the groups that is  being persecuted.   She is a professor of law, IIRC, and states that Vanderbilt has overstepped reason, as the CLS charters say that leaders of the group are expected to lead Prayers, Bible Studies and Worship.   Vanderbilt's position essentially renders that inoperative, and thus bans the group from fulfilling it's stated objectives.   Of course, on of the opponents to thisis "Rev". Gretchen Person (I have to ask this--with protestants--and Catholics and Orthodox do not "ordain" women so she has to be protestant--insistence on Scripture as the sole guide of ecclesiastical affairs,, why do they ordain women when this is clearly in violation of New Testament strictures against women teaching or holding authority over men?  Does this mean that they have rejected any authority beside whim?  With this position, can they still be regarded as Christian, or just as Christian flavored sects that are chipping away at the truth of the faith?) disagrees.  But the conversation over the bounds of institutional interference is going on.

Of course, the easy path would be for these groups to disband as part of the university community, then re-constitute themselves as separate entities, not under the control of the University.  That would remove them from under the thumb of secular crusaders who hate the Church  (Interpreted widely!).  On the other hand, that would concede to the university the right to repress Christians on Campus, so it's a sub-optimal first choice.  Let's hope that there is a successfully prosecuted law suit about this.

The other thing I want to mention concerns Christian in the UK, who have been penalized at work or in their businesses for displays of Christian symbolism.  They are taking their case to the European Court of Human Rights, which has upheld the rights of Christians before, since they cannot get redress from their own government.  Lord, Carey, a retired Archbishop of Canterbury, is also involved, and leading a protest movement to restore the rights of Christians in the UK.

We've let the Enemy--who is Satan, beyond all doubt--control the culture war through passivity and a misplaced and erroneous interpretation of "charity", and through moral cowardice in our institutions, and through the corrosive effects of moral turpitude among our leaders (Such as Rembert Weakland).  now we begin to fight back.  The Church will endure, no question of that, but whether we will remain free in America is an open question, and while we remain divided in our loyalties and councils, we are at the mercy of the Enemy, who goes about like a roaring lion, seeking those whom he can devour.  We pewsitters need to be outspoken in defense of the rights of Christians, of all denominations, from external attacks by a secular and statist society, and we need to be outspoken in defense of orthodoxy within our Churches, and fearlessly call out those who teach error, heresy, moral relativism and conformity to this world.  If we do that, we can win and even if we don't, we will have no shame in our conduct, but can go to the camps with our heads held high in the knowledge that we remain, in our souls, free.

You Tube

Believe it or not, I just watched a You Tube Video, in which a Nun from Youngstown explained that before central heating, women needed to wear more clothes, but after central heating become more common, women didn't, so nuns quit wearing the habit.

Yep, it has nothing to do with disobedience to the the letter and spirit of the law, or disregard from the consistent and repeated directives from Rome, it's all about central heating.  Also, men didn't need to wear more clothes when there wasn't central heating.

Nova Terra

Surprisingly Pro life.

Surprisingly aware of mans fallen nature.

Surprisingly good

Good show.  Watch it..

I deleted the bookmarks.

I have been researching a post on corruption and misuse of power by the present regime.  I had about thirty places bookmarked, so I could write a nice, well documented piece about how the Obama regime is using Federal money, and the power of Federal agencies to support and further his supporters, in an effort to consolidate power and stifle contrary voices.

I deleted them all.  Not in my usual fashion--you know, where you exclaim "O Sh*t!  I just deleted all my bookmarks."  I just deleted them on purpose.  Because I'm not in the mood to do a well researched post on this matter.  If you're still getting your news from the networks, and the sources that are considered mainstream and respectable, your not getting the truth.

From the HUD grants to the successor organizations to the bankrupt ACORN (found guilty of election fraud, but that wasn't widely reported by Obama's acolytes in the the press) to special loans and stimulus grants to Obama donors, its a mess.  Add in things like targeted enforcement by various Federal Agencies, and the Regime using the "bully pulpit" to spread what any sane and informed person would call propaganda, and we have a pattern that can only be interpreted one way--A corrupt and dishonest Regime trying to consolidate it's power in the face of a dissatisfied and vengeful electorate.  A negation of representative government, and the groundwork to attempt to steal an election.

We see the NLRB using it's authority--and probably exceeding it's authority--to block an Aircraft plant from being built in a red state, in order to keep the jobs at a union plant--controlled by a union that contributes heavily to the regime.  We see the regime working very hard to promote unions--which most american workers have abandoned.  Oddly, we see that the most heavily unionized segment of the economy is public employees, who have their dues converted into political contributions to the regime, in a synergy of influence and corruption.

BTW--my daughter works in a union shop.  The union got them about a dollar an hour more than minimum wage, has dues deducted from their wages, and has given large sums to the Democrats,  They also send people to the house to tell their members who to vote for.

According to Gallup, people are very unhappy with the government.  In fact in a poll with a 4% margin of error 41% of the people are now identifying the goverment as the greatest threat to individual liberty.  That's higher than during the Revolution, and higher than during the Civil War.

We have a corrupt, would be dictator in charge, a populace that no longer trusts the government to anything right, and an economy in a shambles.

Somewhere we lost sight of a political truth:  American Exceptionalism.  We traded it for promises of utopia, that never emerged.  We traded our famed individualism and self reliance for social programs that on the whole have made the problems worse.  We have given away our republic, to a political class that promised to give us things, never thinking that we would have to pay for them, with our wealth and freedom.

We were the most Christian nation on Earth, and now our government is openly hostile to Christianity.

Well I know who to blame:  us.

And this next election?  When we have the chance to set things right?  We'll elect more of the same, under different names, who will cater to the whims and desires of special interest groups.  We've gotten so selfish that we no longer think of the good of the Republic first, or even of the futures of our own children and grandchildren.

Evil

I saw a sign while watching a "Walk for Choice" on video--it said "A Baby is Just a Fetus That's Been Born".

In Canada, a woman murdered her new born, and was given a suspended sentence.  The Judge said that mores were changing with abortion and all.

The emperor Valentinian outlawed Infanticide over 1500 years ago.

We live in a time more evil than those of the Classical and Early medieval period. We are the godless barbarians the Muslims accuse us of being.

But priests tell me that God doesn't punish people, and that there will be no chastisement.  Gee--take a look around, and say that with a straight face.
