TRIUMPHALIST--YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?

TRIUMPHALIST--YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT? I believe that the Catholic Church was founded by Christ, on his Apostles, especially Peter, the first Pope. I believe in the teachings of the Ecumenical councils, I revere the Fathers of the Church, and I am an unapologetic Ultramontane Catholic. If you don't like it, too bad.

A Real Man--This is what a man does!

When I was in the 2d ACR, we had a Battery Maintenance NCO names Minert.  I never learned his first name.  He wasn't well liked, or held in a lot of respect.

We had a M108 series SP howitzer that had a dead battery, and needed a jump start.  Due to two mistakes, he was pinned between the gun, and the vehicle that was starting it, a 5 ton truck.  Five Tons had an I-beam for a front bumper, and he was caught between the spade of the gun and the bumper--effectively cut in two at waist level.  With an injury like that, when they backed the truck off to get him out, he was going to die before anyone could do anything, and he knew it.  There was nothing to be done other than watch him die.

He called all the Privates and Specialists over, and gave a"hip pocket" training class concerning safety while jumping vehicles to them, including what he had done wrong to stand where he did, and what his subordinate did wrong by not checking the trucks transmission.  At the end of the class, they backed the truck off, and he died almost instantly from extreme blood loss.

SSG Minert was widely thought to be gay--I was pretty sure of that myself.  Yet he died well, like a professional.  That's a reserve o courage that I don't think I have. That's a real man, and why I love Non Commissioned Officers.

Why I Don't Like Obama: Part Two

OK, here's another session of me saying why I do not like Obama, and why I think he is ruining our Republic.  Last time I said that Governments should be as bound by law as citizens.  With that in mind, take a bank note out of your pocket and look at it.  It says on it "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private".  Keep that in mind and recall the many Supreme court rulings that doing something legal can not be incriminating--and standing on your rights can not be incriminating.

Now ask yourself, why is the FBI circulating letters asking proprietors of  outdoor shops, and surplus stores to gather information on customers who are paying cash?  And on customers who decline to fill out marketing surveys, or the applications for "preferred customer cards"? And why, on Obama's watch, is this being linked to buying such suspect things as "night flashlights" (Do they make day flashlights?  Have I missed another technological leap?)  Wind and waterproof matches, MREs or other field type foods (You know, like one would take backpacking or hunting?).   Above all if they pay cash.  Oh!  We mustn't forget, the FBI wants customers who make "extreme religious statements" reported as well.  "Jesus is Lord" is an extreme statement to some, and so is "Merry Christmas".  Hmmmm... .

This coincides with Secretary Janet Napolitano's push for preparedness against domestic terrorism.  The American Beria has some interesting takes on who we should fear--and she is a creature of Obama--he appointed her, he supports her and she works and reports directly to him.  Under Obama, the DHS is trying to place ads, internet videos, etc for the public to see, and to be mindful of possible domestic terrorists.  Interestingly enough, the groups she chooses to highlight are middle class white Americans, and Christians.  Yep, we're the threat.

I hate to be the one that brings this up in public, but it needs to be discussed:  Obama's Administration mimics and employs the tactics of Fascist regimes that took over from republics.  Seriously.  (You should be aware, I guess, of the historical rise of fascism from socialist and left wing roots--that makes this more intelligible.)  At the end of the Russian Civil War, there was something called the new Economic Policy, implemented to keep some sort of economy going.  It was followed in about two years by propaganda denouncing the "NEPmen" and the "Kulaks" for being enemies of the revolution.  In a couple of more years, this ended in police actions--secret police actions--against these people.  Historically, before oppressive governments begin their activities and internments, there is a push of disinformation, then of propaganda against the target group.  In our own history, this took place before the trail of tears, and the internment of Japanese-Americans.  It can happen here, because it has happened here.

Obama's administrations shows some disturbing parallels to fascist regimes of the past.

One thing that happens in fascist regimes, from Mussolini's Italy, the Third Reich, Stalinist Russia to most others that are of any size, is a blurring of the lines of authority.  This confusion is inefficient, yet allows for actions that would not be tolerated by the people if they could pin down who was responsible.  The German T program is an example, with clearly delineated responsibilities, it was possible for people to effectively oppose the gassing of the mentally ill, the developmentally disabled and the crippled.   The program was suspended until after the 2d World War began, and then the administrative responsibilities were obscure.  We see this now.  Obama has appointed a record number of "czars", who are not accountable to congress, and have wide administrative authroity--authority which crosses the lines of various governmental departments, and which is virtually unaccountable to constitutional limits.  Congress voted to defang these appointees--appointees for the most part unconfirmed by Congress with the Continuing Resolution Act of 2011.  Obama signed it, but with an unprecedented twist--a signing statement in which he said:

Legisative efforts that significantly impede the presidents ability to exercise his supervisory and coordinating authorities...violate the Separation of Powers... . Therefore the executive branch will construe section 2262 not to abrogate these Presidential prerogatives.

In other words, Obama will not obey the law.  It's particularly galling and cynical that he refers to the separation of powers, as the office of the president does not have the constitutional authority to decide if a law is constitutional.  The way it works is that if presented with a law he feels is unconstitutional, he vetoes it.  If he signs it, the courts decide if it's constitutional--not him.  (He has done the same with the DOMA law as well.) So we have a president who through the use of what amounts to a Fuerher Befehl refuses Congressional attempts to rein in his Gauliters--party officials who have been given authority by extralegal means with which to interfere in governmental activities.  It's enlightening to remember that he refers to these people as "advisers":  they are not advisers, they are policy makers and managers.  That is in no way an adviser!

Another hallmark of fascist regimes is their spendthrift ways.  The Third Reich, Fascist Italy and Communist Russia (and the Soviet Union was not Communist-it was a fascist state masquerading as Communist) all had this in common.  Obama has racked up, in under three years of office, more debt than the Bush Administration did in eight.  Amazingly, they have the temerity to complain and assert that they inherited an unconscionable debt from the Bush Administration.  Actually, they did.  Yet they have doubled it in a fraction of the time--an example of another fascist practice, the big lie.

Coupled with their spendthrift ways, fascist regimes are marked by both inefficiency, and allocations of resources.  although they have the appearance of efficiency,  after the fact examination of records always show horrible uses of resources.  Obama's regime is no exception.  Take just one example:  about two months ago, the Administration cancelled the contracts for 7 firefighting aircraft--tankers that water bomb wild fires--that bring our national total of these specialized aircraft to 11.  That's a percentage reduction of approximately 38.9.  As of yesterday, 1,550 homes have been destroyed by wildfires.  (I will note that Texas is not a strong Obama state, and that these are rural homes-- and the GAO says that rural whites are the least served segment of the US.  Obama focuses on urban population to the neglect, and even interference with, rural people--see the Agricultural acts he has signed that will economically cripple small farmers in favor of Agribusiness.  BTW--this sort of quiet collusion between Big Business and the Regime was a hallmark of both Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany.)  At the same time, Obama erected yet another layer of government, apart from congressional oversight:  The Office of Diversity and Inclusion, created by Executive Order.  (I want to note here that we have a cherished right of freedom of association--mandatory association is not free.)  The budget for this office could have funded at least some of the equipment needed to protect our homes from wildfire, but wouldn't really bolster his power base. So, he miscalculated resources and left people in the lurch.

There is something else--the erosion of regional authority and governmental independence. this was a bugaboo for both Fascist Italy and the Third Reich.  The Nazis didn't get full control over the independent apparatus of the State of Prussia until 1943--they used the necessity for wartime security as their lever. (People don't seem to realize that the US didn't invent federal governance--the Holy Roman Empire, and all subsequent forms of government in Germany was based on the principle, and not even Hitler could get rid of all of it.  Bavaria managed to hold onto a great deal of independence through out the whole period from Charlemagne until the advent of the EU!)   Hence the use of Gauleiters and extra legal means.  Look around, at just very recent events:    Texas passed a sonogram law requiring the procedure before an abortion can be performed.  The Federal courts has removed it--even though this isn't something that the constitution gives to federal authority--states regulate the practice of medicine.  Interestingly, the grounds the court used was that this was mandating controlled speech.  At the same time, Kansas passed a State Budget that did not give money to Planned Parenthood.  That's a state budget.  In August, the Federal Courts decided that they had the authority to tell the states what to put in their budget, and mandated the payments continue--even though the matter is still "under adjudication".  This regime has no use for decentralized authority.

Finally, for this installment, there is Obama's assault on religious liberty.  All one has to do is listen--he affirms the "freedom of worship", but never mentions freedom of religion.  What this means is simply this--he won't dictate what a church service looks like.  At the same time, his administration has been trying to apply tax and labor laws in such a way as to cripple churches.  It's a matter of Catholic teaching and Canon law that Catholics cannot support, in good conscience, abortion or politicians who support abortion.  Yet if this is mentioned from the pulpit, the IRS now attempts to revoke the tax exempt status of the church in question.  this has been attempted three times in the last three years, to my knowledge.  Further, the National Labor Relations Board has taken upon itself to tell a Church whether or not it's activities are religious or church related--always to the detriment of the church.  Fascist Regimes always seek to control the religious element in their societies.  Look, again, to the Third Reich.  The Protestant Churches by and large bought off on the Nazi agenda, and were termed popularly and in their own documents as "German Christians".  the ones who didn't play along were styled "The Confessing Church".  In the end, many members of the Confessing Church ended up in camps, as did most of their leaders.  The Catholic Church (despite the current smear campaign to suggest otherwise!) resisted much more tenaciously, with Blessed Clemens Von Galen (who was responsible for the opposition to the T program) spending years under house arrest and the threat of the Gestapo picking him up for the camps.  Obama, aside from using administrative actions to restrict religious speech and activities, has attempted to drive wedges into various churches with his "rout reach programs".  Anybody remember "Catholics for Obama"?  If you do, do you remember the USCCB pointing out that they were not a Catholic organization?  Well, you might not because the press has been effectively co-opted by the regime, and they didn't report that,or the fact that many of those in leadership position in this group weren't even Catholic to begin with, or that it's platform contradicted Canon Law.    Obama spends a lot of effort on silencing or marginalizing Evangelical and Catholic voices, because they oppose him.  Expect it to get worse.

This goes hand in hand with one other thing, that fits here.  Fascists go to great lengths to promote the idea that there is no real dissent.  Well, notice how Obama has packed the audience at most of his appearances?  Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini spent fortunes being sure that no one who would be inconveniently vocal were at their appearances.  This extended to most party functions and events.  Remember the 'Town Hall' meetings?  As soon as the Democrats--Obama's Party--realized that people who would ask inconvenient questions were showing up and asking those questions, they started restricting the attendance to the true believers.  then they stopped having them all together.   Even now it's in play:  The 9-11 memorial at the "National Cathedral" was stacked, with no Evangelical or Catholic clergy represented, and damned few of the faithful either.  That's interesting because ten years ago, everyone was included--and an Evangelical, the Reverend Billy Graham, delivered the sermon.  Now, only people from those denominations that support Obama were invited.  This isn't the kind of thing that lends itself to political rhetoric, but by excluding these group, Obama's minions  attempted to render them invisible, irrelevant.  Of course, he just implied that the largest Church in the nation is irrelevant.  And this from the man who created the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.  so much for even the slightest bit of honesty or ethics from our would be Leader.

It is clear to me, that for the sake of our present and future Liberties, Obama must be removed from office by the most expeditious legal means possible.  The man wants to be a dictator.

Next time, i think I'll write about left wing violence and intimidation, it's a rich field, and another aspect of Obama's fascistic tendencies.
