TRIUMPHALIST--YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?

TRIUMPHALIST--YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT? I believe that the Catholic Church was founded by Christ, on his Apostles, especially Peter, the first Pope. I believe in the teachings of the Ecumenical councils, I revere the Fathers of the Church, and I am an unapologetic Ultramontane Catholic. If you don't like it, too bad.

The Church Teaches Forum

This is an event scheduled for the 15th and 16th of July, here in Louisville.  I have attended twice, and found it an excellent opportunity and event!  To give you an idea--this is where I heard Bishop Doran say "Back when the Jesuits used to be Catholic...".

The featured persons this year ar Raymond Cardinal Burke--whom I have heard before.  Francis Cardinal Arinze.  Archbishop Joseph E.Kurtz.  Bishop Daniel Thomas. Reverend Roger Arnsparger and Reveren Edmund McCaffery (Both Catholic Priests!)

The cost, if you are in Louisville area, or can find a place to crash for cheap or for free is reasonable--$15 for the Saturday Conference.  If you want to eat the lunch provided--it tends to be pretty good--it's an extra $15 bucks.

Cardinal Arinze will be the Keynote speaker on Friday afternoon, following Mass celebrated by Cardinal Burke and a banquet, that will set you back $40 bucks.

The schedule looks like this:
FRIDAY, 15 JULY:
5:00 PM: Mass
6:00 PM: Social Time
7:00 PM: Banquet and Keynote Address by Cardinal Arinze

SATURDAY 16 JULY:
8:00 AM:  Registration and time to visit the vendors (The vendors have always been worth a visit)
9:00 AM:  Greeting, Pledge of Allegiance (!!!!!!)
9:15 AM: Cardinal Burke--Reform of the Reform

10:15 AM:  Bishop Thomas--Christ and His Church: The Mystery of This Dialogue in the Roman Missal.
11:30 AM:  Mass, Archbishop Kurtz
1:00 PM: Lunch.
2:00 PM Rev. Arnsparger:  Restoring the Sacred Liturgy:  Building a Culture of Holiness and Salvation.
3:00 PM Fr. Edmund, (president of Eternal life), closing, Fr. Joe Hall: Rosary.

I have attended this event, it's excellent, the talks are great, orthodox and entertaining, the speakers are top notch.  It's worth the trip.  Eternal Life has arraigned for accommodations in the Galt house, in downtown Louisville.  A double in the West Tower is $100, so is a King and a Quad--I have no idea what that mean, BTW.  In the East Suites a double is $130, as are a King and a Quad--And I still have no idea what that means!

You can contact Eternal Life--the presenting organization at:

A king and quad

Quad refers to the occupancy - four to a room

King means that at least one of the beds is a king size.
