6:00 PM
ST. MARTIN OF TOURS CHURCH
639 S. SHELBY ST.
LOUISVILLE KY 40202
PHONE: 502-582-2827
This is a beautiful service, conducted in a Solemn manner, according to the Rubrics. It is the solemn Vespers of the feast of Ss. Peter and Paul. If you are anywhere near, please come, you owe it to yourself.
If you are unfamiliar with the Liturgy of Hours this is a great way to be introduced.
Plus, we don't have a praise band, tambourines, guitars or piano music: We have a wonderful Pipe Organ and a great Choir.
TRIUMPHALIST--YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?
TRIUMPHALIST--YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT? I believe that the Catholic Church was founded by Christ, on his Apostles, especially Peter, the first Pope. I believe in the teachings of the Ecumenical councils, I revere the Fathers of the Church, and I am an unapologetic Ultramontane Catholic. If you don't like it, too bad.

Planned Parenthood and Missing Millions: Washington Takes Notice!
No,not of the 1.8 million kids they murdered between 2002 and 2008, but of the over one billion dollars in federal grant money it can't account for. PP recieved 2.3 billion dollars in Federal grants in that same time, for which it can only account for 657.1 million.
Well, anyway that's the GAO report (General Accounting Office--the part of the government that says where the manoy ended up, and how much!).
Well, The criminals who run Congress may have been willing to miss the 1.8 million americans killed by PP, but not the missing money.
I find that more disturbing than the missing money, but if this is what it takes to defund PP from our taxes, I'll take it.

The Border, Again.
Border Patrol Agents are saying that large sections of the US/Mexico Border in Arizona are completely out of their control. They blame this in part on new orders originating in Washington DC. The Department of Homeland Security says that they haven't issued any changes, but the Agents are saying that their orders have changed, and that the new orders are interfering in their work.
One Agent went so far as to say that "Every night we are being beaten like a Pinata...". the Agents cite large numbers of firearms--illegal types of firearms--coming north from Mexico.
They also confirm that Drug Cartels have placed permanent Observation Posts on US soil to surveille Law Enforcement.
All those National Guard troops that Obama authorized and promised, well, they haven't materialized yet. If they're coming at all.
At this point, it must be admitted that Washington has decided just to make mouth sounds at let the Southwest fend for itself as Mexico's expanding drug war encroaches on our territory.
In Nogales, AZ, the police have been told that if they don't turn a blind eye towards anything they see off duty, they will be subject to retribution by the Sinaloa Drug Cartel.
I haven't seen anything about these issues in the immigration debate as presented by NBC, ABC or CBS. I wonder why.
I have a post below about some of this stuff, and Subvet mentioned that in his part of Texas, Drug Cartels are sending SUVs with blacked out windows to trail school buses. Apparently they are sending a message.
We need to send Washington a message: Secure our borders or you will not be re-elected. Also, the border states need to use their own resources, National Guard, Militias, Law Enforcement and even Posses to go in and clean this cancer out.

I'm getting tired of this!
So, we have seen various agencies of the Federal Government try to gain greater control of methods of mass communication. From the Presidents attack on a news outlet he dislikes because it will not give him a free pass, to the FTCs attempt to "remake journalism", to the FCCs attempt, blocked by the courts to regulate the Internet, we have seen repeated attempts by the current regime to gain control of our system for mass communication.
So now there is a law proposed by Joe Lieberman that would allow the president to shut down the Internet in the interests of "security".
This is yet another attempt to silence Americans. Period.
Yes, "Cyber Terrorism" is a possibility. So are a lot of things. But I will bluntly state that my life time has been a constant experience of watching the Federal Government, from time to time, attempting to regulate what people say, read and hear. I do not trust Obama with the power to shut down the most used system of communication in the US for any reason. And I wouldn't trust Sarah Palin with that power. In fact I wouldn't trust Abraham Lincoln with that power! OOPS! He had that power, and used it to silence and imprison without trial newspaper editors who criticised his administration during the Civil War.
So this is just another attempt by those elitists who would be our masters to keep us from talking to one another, when we say things they don't like.
