I blogged before about Congressman Steve Dreihaus and his attempt to put a pro-life activist in jail for sayig he voted for Tax Funded Abortions. New information has come to the fore.
Life Site news has obtained e-mails from Democrats for Life of America, a group that is supporting Driehaus. These e-mails show DFLA saying the same thing thing that SBA list is saying--that Dreihaus voted for Obamacare, and that Obamacare uses tax dollars to fund abortions. Dreihaus was formerly associated with DFLA.
But the DFLA people flip-flopped. And now they are saying that anyone who says Obamacare funds abortions is lying. i think they have blown their credibility on the health care plan, and on being pro-life.
Mean while. Jail is threatened for someone who spoke out against the Democratic party, and their candidate. Marjorie Dannenfelser stand to go to jail for speaking out. This is particularly interesting, noting that the Dems are facing lawsuits for defamation of character, and have become laughing stock in some quarters for unfounded accusations.
Yet in another way, this can backfire on the Dems--if this complaint goes to court, and the SBA List proves that Obamacare uses tax dollars to fund abortions, the lie that the president and the Democratic party is foisting--namely that the health care bill doesn't fund abortions--will be exposed, and bite them in the long run.
I think the thing i find most distasteful about the Democratic Party as it now stands is this::they have used every type of intimidation and skulduggery to silence dissent and to affect the elections by extra legal means available to them. From blocking the prosecution of the New Black Panthers who engaged in voter intimidation and intimidation of poll workers, to the election fraud in the '08 election, to using ACORN to fraudulently register voters. They are now the antithesis of democracy.
