I saw this video, and although I am much less than willing to endorse music videos, this one pretty much expressed how I feel about our rulers, Democrat or Republican. I hope people will click and view and hear it. it's not too long.

Liz, if you read this, please give it a look and listen. And for everyone else, well, it's not even the kind of music i listen to! I'm much more into Steeleye Span, various traditional celtica types, etc. O yeah, classical and medieval music as well.
Oh--I'm having problems with links, so if it doesn't work, try typing it in.

Yet again, I get to hear I'm not American. At least not a real one.
I actually really like the song, and the video could have been really good. But she had to go and make it partisan, and that's a bummer.
Liz, You've put your finger on the problem. Most of us feel alienated, as if we no longer can be called Americans. a plurality of us, over 60% by many reconings, feel that we have lost control of the government. An even greater number feel like our voices are ignored.
This is going to lead to perhaps the greatest crisis in our history since the civil war--perhaps greater, because this is a problem that isn't really a regional thing, except that large cities tend to differ from small ones and rural areas.
Was it a massive crisis 3 years ago when the numbers were the same and the shoe was on the other foot? Because I remember a lot of sites on the right saying, quite literally, "Suck it up you whiny bunch of losers".
I still think the number one problem is the 24 hour news cycle. :P
Liz--
I'm sorry this offended you, because I didn't want to offend anyone. But I did hope you would notice something--well a couple of things.
One was the image of protesters holding signs that blamed both parties.
The other was that this song hasn't been released on the airwaves--only on the net. That's because there is a pattern of either not mentioning conservative dissent, or belittling it.
That's what has made these folks so mad in the first place.
Oh I'm not offended! Just sparring.
Btw, I love the new banner. Did I ever tell you my "hitting a deer in Gnawbone" story?
Well--if you're sparring, you need to lift the left guard up a little and move it in! Your open in 6!
